Eric Worthley poses for a 5×7 wet plate collodion tintype (on aluminum) wearing some of his Society for Creative Anachronism battle gear. That’s a two-handed Scottish broadsword, known as a claymore, he’s got in his hands. The hand tooled, leather scabbard was made by his father. He doesn’t use the claymore when he’s actually fighting. At that point, he uses a considerably less pointy sword made of rattan.
